About Green Mountain Falls

The town is located about 19 miles (31 km) west of Colorado Springs in the Ute Pass corridor, close to the base of Pikes Peak, and has a year-round population of 622 residents (as of 2020); but the town’s population increases significantly each summer as people arrive to enjoy their vacation homes and cabins. The town maintains a public trails system consisting of 20 miles of pedestrian trails used year-round by locals and numerous visitors. Hiking is a popular activity here with water falls, lakes and a fabulous view of Pikes Peak. The waterfalls that Green Mountain Falls are named after, are located just west of the town center, cascading down the slopes of Pikes Peak. The two primary falls are Crystal Falls and Catamount Falls, both accessible via the popular trail network starting in the village.
